History

Bothell Pet Hospital was originally established in 1954 by Dr. George Venema before later being acquired by Dr. William “Bill” Cleveland in 1992. Dr. Cleveland was then joined by Dr. Lesley Kovar who went on to help Dr. Cleveland build Bothell Pet Hospital into a beloved neighborhood veterinary practice. For almost a decade, the two of them served the community’s small animal healthcare needs.

As Bothell as a town continued to grow, so did Bothell Pet Hospital. Over the subsequent years, the hospital essentially doubled its team and expanded its services to better meet the needs of the growing community.

In 2018, Bothell Pet Hospital was purchased by Dr. Debra Nicholson who would have Bothell Pet Hospital join the group of independently owned and operated sister hospitals that make up Veterinary Roots.

Today, Bothell Pet Hospital remains a beloved community-focused practice with a team of dedicated veterinary professionals who are committed to providing veterinary care with a focus on excellence, compassion, and honesty. Their ultimate goal is to help you and your pet feel welcome, comfortable, and
cared for.
