Jessie

Treatment Assistant

Jessie’s journey with animals started in childhood and has taken her across countries, into show rings, rescue shelters, and eventually to Bothell Pet Hospital. Jessie joined the team in February 2025, bringing more than five years of experience in shelter medicine and fostering.

Her early years were spent riding and training horses. Jessie worked with ponies in the English countryside and at an eventing facility in Alberta. Later, she returned to her hometown in Ohio and shifted her focus to shelter work and veterinary care.

“I moved to Washington for a fresh start and a future I could build. I think I found it here. The environment at Bothell Pet Hospital is welcoming, kind, and full of people who genuinely care about the animals and their people,” Jessie shared.

Jessie is known for her determination, strong work ethic, and deep commitment to animal care. Her experience in shelter work shaped her approach. She advocates for every patient and finds meaning in helping animals feel safe and supported.

Education

Jessie has completed certifications in Equine Management and Animal Behavior. She also has hands-on training in horse handling and show jumping.

Volunteer Work

Jessie has dedicated years to rescue work and fostering. Her time volunteering with her local county dog shelter gave her a solid foundation in patient care, empathy, and building trust with all different types of animals.

Home Life

Jessie has two dogs, Nolle and Timbit. Outside of work, she enjoys riding horses, walking her dogs, and going whale watching whenever she can. Being outside and connecting with animals is Jessie’s favorite way to reset.
