Zach

Veterinary Assistant Zach didn’t always know he’d end up working in veterinary medicine, but once he started helping care for animals, he realized how much it mattered to him. While working at Altasciences, he learned essential skills like blood draws, administering medications, and daily husbandry. The hands-on work gave him a strong foundation and made it clear he wanted to be part of the recovery process, not just the routine.

Zach joined Bothell Pet Hospital in August 2024 and brings that same focus and care to every patient. He’s reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely excited about being part of a team that helps animals heal.

“I’ve always enjoyed working with animals,” he said. “Now I get to be part of helping them recover, and that feels really meaningful.”

Zach sees this work as a bridge between two passions: helping people and caring for animals. His favorite part of the job is being in the treatment area, especially when he has the opportunity to observe or assist during surgery.

Education

Zach is currently enrolled at Everett Community College, where he is studying nursing.

Home Life

Zach has two cats: Dipper (black), who recently learned how to open doors, and Stella (gray), who is a major diva and insists on getting anything she wants. In his free time, Zach enjoys getting together with friends to play board and card games.
