Cassi

Cassie

Veterinary Assistant

Growing up with dogs, rabbits, turtles, and parakeets, Cassi has been an animal lover her whole life. Equipped with an outstanding arsenal of educational and problem-solving skills, we were lucky enough to bring Cassi aboard the Bothell Pet Hospital team in 2023.

Cassi spent the first five years of her professional career teaching English—first at El Camino Fundamental High School in Sacramento, Calif., and then at Finn Hill Middle School in Kirkland, Wash. Simultaneously, she served as a 911 Dispatcher at Seattle Community Safety and Communications Center in Seattle.

Leaning on her teaching and emergency assistance background, Cassi followed her skills to Roosevelt Station Vet Care in Seattle, Wash., where she took on her first veterinary assistant/patient care coordinator role in 2022. Today, Cassi serves as a Veterinary Assistant at our hospital, and is in the process of obtaining her Veterinarian Technician license, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

“I love making animals feel as loved and as comfortable as possible,” Cassi shared. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to treat our patients with the same level of care I offer my pets while learning the science behind it all (which I LOVE).”

Driven by her desire to help, Cassi is determined to meet her teammates, our clients, and, most importantly, our patients exactly where they need her. She practices active listening to gain a full-picture understanding of any concern at hand before she thoroughly develops and explains the plan needed to achieve the ideal outcome.

Cassi, your passion for learning, caring, and educating is an asset to our hospital, and we can’t wait to see where your veterinary path takes you!

Education

Veterinarian Technician Associate’s Degree, Penn Foster

Bachelor of Arts in English, Summa Cum Laude, California State University, Sacramento, Calif.

Volunteer Work

Cassi helped train, walk, and socialize dogs at a local animal shelter in her California hometown, inspiring her professional pivot toward veterinary medicine and her decision to adopt a dog on her own.

Home Life

Cassi adopted her Jindolshiba mix named Luna (aka Ms. Luna Stink Stinks, although she doesn’t actually stink), a very sweet and curious pup who loves to “hold” your hand with her two front paws and give lots of kisses! To unwind outside of the hospital, Cassi enjoys playing video games, crocheting, knitting, and reading. When she’s out and about, she loves going to metal and rock concerts.
