Featured Pet, February 2021: Mya

Who doesn’t love a puppy!? They are a delight, but, as we all know, come with their own host of challenges. Well, Mya, a 6-year-old German Shepherd, couldn’t have found a more perfect home when she was adopted by our now practice manager Madi in 2014.

Prior to joining our team in 2018, Madi and her husband called Montana home. While there, they stumbled across an ad for German Shepherd puppies and decided to pay them a visit. Once they met the litter, they quickly became smitten with one little girl who they would quickly snap up and bring home. Welcome Mya!

Now in 2021, Mya is all grown and runs the house alongside her Tuxedo cat “sibling,” Kaz. Together they keep Madi’s family on their feet while bringing a ton of love into the home.

Mya, also affectionately known as Mya Pup, Puppy Dog, Doggo and, of course, Mai Tai is a typical rambunctious shepherd who loves her toys and playing games with her family. Her favorites are frisbees and squeaky balls and usually will not be too far away from her prized possessions.

“How could I describe Mya? She can be pretty anxious and chases her tail a lot when she is nervous,” shared Madi. “Otherwise, she is generally just pretty goofy. She likes to drop toys in your lap, tries to lick your face when she is wanting attention, and sometimes sleeps on her back with her feet hanging high in the air. We couldn’t love her more!”

Well, we couldn’t be happier to have Madi on our team and Mya as part of our extended family! Here is to many years ahead for both of them at Bothell Pet Hospital!
